Description:
This popular Civil War  era revolver was carried for personal protection.  It was designed by Frank P. Slokum to circumvent the Rolin White bored through cylinder patent controlled by Smith & Wesson. The cylinder has individual chambers in the form of tubes or sleeves which are moved over a fixed rod to allow loading of cartridges. It is a 5 shot .32 rim fire caliber. Only about 10,000 were made ( in Brooklyn, New York) between 1863 and 1864. This one was made in 1863. The frame and barrel etc. are silver plated with about 90 to 95% of the plating remaining. The varnished rosewood grips are in excellent condition.
The hammer and trigger work fine. The cylinder turns, but not with the cocking of the hammer and it does not lock into place. So--It you want something to hold up a bank with- this is not for you. If you'd like an attractive oddity for your collection then this is it. They don't often come on the  market. I will include a photo copy of the factory instruction sheet.

This is an antique. No FFL required.
