Description:
Cal 38-55. Oct bbl. Crescent buttplate. Strange feature is the pistol grip with standard grade wood and no checkering. Right had of receiver is 70% thinning blue. A bit less on the left. Bbl blue nearly all there. This gun has the long blade Sheard front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Still some case colors showing on hammer and lever. Wood is in good overall cond fitting the tangs and frame nicely. Orig Winchester pistol grip cap is in nice. Forearm has one small little chip in the usual spot in the left corner behind the cap. Wood was lightly freshened years ago. Bore is above average for a 38-55. Good rifling. Shiny bore. Some light roughness. A good looking rifle.
