SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1855 PERCUSSION RIFLE/MUSKET, 58 cal., 40” bbl., 3 bbl. bands, original ramrod & bayonet, sling swivels, lockplate marked “US Springfield 1858”, eagle on Maynard tape primer system, dated 1858 on rear of bbl. along with the proof marks, wood has inspectors marks, flip up rear sight adj. for elevation, post blade front sight, mint bore, exc. to mint condition throughout, wood has a couple small handling dings, metal is bright & shiny the way it left the arsenal, only draw back is a chip behind the lockplate about ¼ X ½.
