Description:
REMINGTON NEW MODEL .44 RIMFIRE CONVERSION ARMY REVOLVER CIRCA EARLY 1870’S. Six shot with 8” octagon barrel. Early Western Frontier Era Remington Factory conversion from the Civil War percussion original to the .44 rim fire cartridge. Made without provision for loading gate. All original except the grips which are very old period of use replacements. Colorful well used example that has a very pleasing original patina with salt and pepper overall. Working order with dark rifling. Quite scarce as well as historic as they only made for a few years in the early 1870’s.
