Description:
Winchester Model 21 16 Gauge SxS Shotgun
FACTORY #3 ENGRAVED, VENT RIB, RARE!

General Specs: Winchester, Year 1954, 16 Gauge, 7lbs 7oz, Side by Side
Serial Number: 24164

Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation enjoyed by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself.  With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use.  This custom ordered Standard Grade gun, sn24164 shipped in 1954, is very unique, being one of only a dozen or so 16 gauge guns factory engraved in the #3 pattern, fewer yet with a ventilated rib.  The metal finishes are ABSOLUTELY MINT, FACTORY ORIGINAL 99.5%  unaltered since leaving the factory.  The plain Field Grade wood was replaced by the master gun maker Jack Haugh of Milan, Indiana.  Haugh chose a highly figured blank and shaped it to Winchester standards, checkered it in Deluxe style checkering pattern, and added engraved heel and toe plates to the checkered butt and a nicely engraved steel pistol grip cap.  Google Jack Haugh and you will find he was one of the best gun makers in this country.  Great shooting dimensions with 28" factory vent rib barrels, field chokes, mirror bores and a rare Model 21 that shows as factory new come together to make an incredible investment grade gun perfect for your upland or sporting clays needs.  Priced to sell, this gun will not last long.  The gold initials from the factory can be altered by our master engraver or removed all together.
