This is the nicest, original, K98K Mauser rifle we have had in some time. This rifle was taken from a German infantryman who had no further use for it and was brought home by the USGI that took it from him and put in a closet where it remained since 1946 until we purchased it the other day. Rifle is totally original, all matching, all proofs intact and correct. all original finish, etc. etc. etc. Even has the original sight hood and cleaning rod. Excellent bore and chamber. Definitely not a Russian capture, this is a NON IMPORT GOOD OLD USA GI CAPTURE, in the same exact condition as when it was removed from the enemy's hands so long ago. Probably the nicest we have ever had.
