About Us: Hallowell & Co. incorporated as a full-time, federally-licensed firearms business in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1983. In 1999, we sold our Greenwich building to Griffin & Howe and moved to Livingston, Montana. Our primary interests lie in high quality, artisanal sporting guns in fine original condition---single shot rifles, custom rifles, double shotguns and double rifles by the best makers, from the beginning of the cartridge era to the present. We look forward to being of service.

Description:
28 1/2" O/U barrels of Bohler steel with solid matted rib and gunmaker's chokes: extra extra full & extra extra full. 14 1/2"pull from front trigger to original buttplate. 1 1/2" - 2 3/4" drop. Just a trace of cast-off. Figured European walnut stock with slender 3-piece Deeley-release forend, black capped pistol grip. Classic point-pattern checkering, sling swivels and beaded pancake cheekpiece. French gray blitz action with double Kersten locks, cocking indicators, automatic ejectors and manual top tang safety---fully engraved with deep sculptured game scenes and thistle scroll, wrapping around and under the entire action body. Weight: 6lbs, 11oz. A very rare grade. And, built in 1943 when the Russians had retaken Stalingrad and the bombs were falling; who did one have to be to be able to order a fine, new, commercial shotgun in Germany at that time? Nearly new condition retaining 99%+blue. In leather trunk case.
