SOLD Winchester Pre-War Deluxe Model 71 chambered in 348 wcf with long tang and original rear bolt peep sight. Made in 1937 and remains in original condition with nothing altered. Original checkered deluxe stocks with sharp checkering and steel checkered butt plate. Original ivory bead front sight. Excellent bore that remains shiny with strong lands and grooves with no corrosion. The barrel is dated "36" underneath the forearm and 100% of the blue remains there. I also have the original deluxe super swivels. Original factory blueing at about 80-85% and original stock finish at about 75%. The deluxe grip cap remains in excellent shape with good patina and a perfectly indexed screw. The action is slick with a perfectly tuned and crisp trigger and locks up tight as a vault. This is a fine looking Deluxe 71 that was hunted with but not abused and has a great look and consistent wear. This was Winchesters heavy hitter for the biggest North American Game including Grizzlies, Moose and Elk. USPS Priority mail is 40.00
