Sale Pending ---- Winchester 1876 carbine. Caliber 45/75. Serial number 24117. This is an 2nd Model 1876. The rear sight is the folding latter verity, and is stamped “1876”. This gun has British proof marks. This is a nice rifle with 90%+ finish remaining on the receiver and barrel, which has turned to a pleasing plum brown patina. The wood is in wonderful condition. The wood fits the receiver proud, and there hardly any handling marks. The bore is excellent; bright and shiny. This gun was well cared for during its life. The barrel is stamped "Winchester Repeating Arms New Haven CT Kings Improvement Patented March 29, 1866 October 16 1860." The action functions perfectly, I have shot this gun with mild smokeless rounds and it is quite accurate. It has a nice yellow patina carrier block. Everything looks original, and it comes with a Winchester letter. It is an antique so it can be shipped directly to you.
