Description:
Ideal No. 1 32 S&W, with box and accessories. Tool has about 80% original nickel plate remaining, with the rest showing stains from neglect. The bottom of the mould has a tiny bit of pitting. Not bad for being over 135 years old. This is the intermediate version that retained the hump for the priming station even though a new one had been set up on the handles. Circa1890s.
Upper box lid has a 5 1/2" side piece missing. Top and end labels in excellent condition. The lower box lid has a 4 3/4" side piece missing. Has both endpieces and a one solid opposite side piece. Check photos. These boxes are scarcer than the tools as they were eventually tossed or worn out.
The instructions are a nice photocopy. The powder cup and decapping tool are not factory issue, but of the period. The original Ideal flyer is tattered and fragile.
