Offering For Sale this 1886 carbine, in original standard configuration confirmed per a Cody search. Serial # 65,34X The buyer can have a copy of the search results.
This carbine saw many years of ranch use in AZ. before coming to Colorado for my personal use. The metal has turned a pleasing antique grey with the slightest hit of plumb color. There are correct scabbard rub marks to the barrel bands, from years ago, adding to the wear marks. The barrel has seen use and lacked daily cleaning and so has a weak bore with minor pitting and a grey/dull color.
The wood has minor bruises, scratches and dents, yet has the correct reveal, fit and original finish from age and use.
The sights are correct.
I have used this carbine on several hunts in this area for elk and antalope. With amunition loaded to factory specs., it shoots as well as any new replicas I have.

I have enjoyed this carbine and look forward to passing it on to another for their enjoyment. Finding the next buyer will complete my ownership experience.
