This is a beautiful, 1958-made revolver that has 98-99% of the original blue remaining with only some minor silvering at the muzzle and a few of the high edges and projections. There is a light turn-ring on the cylinder, but this is very minor, and the frame retains lovely and bright original color case-hardening. The grips are the original checkered black resin with Rampant Colts and are in fine condition with some very mild flattening of the points and some minor surface wear along the edge of the butt on both sides. The only real condition issue that the revolver has is the fact that many of the screw slots have been damaged, however a complete set of new and unused SAA screws, still in the packaging, is also included. The revolver is accompanied by a 2014 dated Colt factory letter that lists a shipping date of March 16, 1959 to the Micro Sight Co., 242 Harbor Blvd., Belmont, CA. The gun was the only item in the shipment. This is a magnificent 2nd “Genny” Colt in excellent overall condition, and would make a great addition to any collection.
