Description: Serial #6289c, 9mm Para., 7 3/4? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1917 dated pistol that has matching numbers on all of the metal parts including the rear sight base, tangent, slider, and adjustable front sight blade. The metal retains 95-97% of the original blue finish which has silvered very slightly at the muzzle and along some of the raised edges and projections. Bright original straw color, fading slightly to bright gray on some of the edges, are still present on the trigger, take-down lever, ejector, and safety. The checkered wooden grips are numbered to the gun on the interior, and have very light wear present with some flattening of the points on both panels as well as some minor handling marks and small blemishes at the butt and on the leading edges on both sides. The pistol comes with its original, matching numbered ?washboard? shoulder stock which is in fine overall condition except for some mild brown freckling on the latch lever. The pistol also comes with an original 1917 dated, Essen-made holster with light-moderate flaking and scuffing as well as a neat user-added brown leather belt loop that has been looped and sewn to the front. The pistol comes with a single, wood based magazine with small indistinct proof at the toe, take-down tool, and original cleaning rod. This is an absolutely splendid Artillery Luger and would make a geat addition to any collection.
