Description:
Serial #E004704, 12 ga. (3/4”), 30” VR barrels with excellent, bright bores. This is a handsome shotgun that has retained 97-98% of the original blue finish on the barrels with some traces of mild fading just starting to appear at the sides of the muzzles. The lightly engraved frame with German style cross-bolt fastener, likewise has a commensurate amount of the original blue remaining with only a small amount of discernible fading on a few of the edges. The checkered forend and round pistol gripped buttstock are also in excellent condition with some extremely minor handling marks and minor surface blemishes in the glossy original varnish finish. The gun has a 13 3/4” length of pull from the SKB style, single select trigger to the adjustable Morgan recoil pad, and the gun locks up tightly with the lever still just right of center. The shotgun currently has two Imp. Mod. choke tubes installed, but also comes with five extra tubes in their original containers (Full, Mod., Imp. Cyl., and two Skeet chokes), along with an original choke wrench. This is an excellent example of a fine Weatherby O/U shotgun, and would make a very nice field or range gun. FFL
