Description:
Original 26” full octagon barrel, original sights, VG bore. Original wood shows a fair amout of use with some mars, dings and a very slight loss of wood to the horned Schnabel forearm; there are a couple of chips out of it toward the front about 1/8” wide x ¾” long. Overall metal is an aged plum brown patina coloration with good markings, no pits. Covering this gun is a U.S. Dept of Indian Affairs approval seal authorizing the sale of this confiscated item. I’ve seen these before but don’t know much about it. Nice, clean specimen of a very scarce little Single Shot rifle. Interesting gun.
