Sempert & Krieghoff Suhl German Drilling:
Manfuctured September of 1929. 16X16X8mm, barrels are 26" marked Krupp - Lauf (Steel), all proof marks caliber and gauge makings are crisp, chamber and bores are good, actuated rear sight flip-up leaf and blade front sight, barrel swivel, splinter style fore-end, classic German stock with side safety, cheek piece, horn butt plate and pistol grip cap, cartridge trap. Stock shows old repair at the grip and a small split in the side. Action, trigger-guard, cartridge trap all have light scroll engraving. Gun was disassembled by a master builder in New York State who fitted a new front claw mount base to the barrel to accommodate the installation of an original Hensoldt - Wetzlar Dural-Dialytan 4X scope and mounts. All work has been perfectly executed, rifle just needs to be reassembled. I left it all apart with the intention of restocking and restoring the rifle. These original drillings are getting more desirable. Similar Drillings selling for upward of $8000. This piece would be incredible restored.
