What a fantastic work of art this gun is! Built in 2006 when some of their finest shotguns were produced, before the expansion in the late 2000's as FAMARS. Most truly knowledgeable fine shotgun experts acknowledge Abbiatico & Salvinelli (A & S) guns from this period as some of the finest shotguns ever made, with meticulous polishing and fitting internally, awesome wood and 28 lpi checkering, and of course that engraving! A & S is often credited with establishing the Italian engravers and the art of bulino style engraving as the pinnacle of the engraver's world. This gun was engraved by Rinniui, an acknowledged master engraver who regularly worked on $100,000 guns, in a very attractive deep relief Celtic style reminiscent of guns of Scottish decent. There is no wear on this gun, with 99% blue and factory finish overall, perfect checkering and only a few handling marks on the EXHIBITION WOOD. Weighing 7 3/4lbs. and balanced 1/4" in front of the hinge pin, single selective trigger, drop out trigger group, Boss style action, perfect mechanicals, perfect screws, screw in chokes, and nearly new in all ways, this gun is a bargain at less than 1/2 the price of new. The gun is priced to sell, and it is a very solid investment quality gun that will be a pleasure to shoot at game or targets.
