SPENCER MODEL 1865 CARBINE PLUS ANTIQUE CARTRIDGES. It has a 20" barrel with three groove rifling with a very nice bore. Action is fully functional, works on both half and full cock . Carbine shows a gray metal finish, dark stained walnut stock and forearm. Wood is in good shape, no major cracks or repairs just the usual surface handling marks. The rear loading tube magazine operates freely. It has both the ladder rear sight, front sight, saddle bar and ring and sling. Included with this nice Historical Indian War Carbine is a box of antique, rare and highly collectable .56-50 cartridges. The box contain a seven cartridges with a copy of the original ammunition description taken from a larger ammunition case of seven individual boxes. You will not find this combination sold together anywhere at this selling price. It would make a great addition to a firearm collection. Considered an antique, no FFL required.
