Description:
WINCHESTER MODEL 71 DELUXE sn17xxx. This 1940 short tang Model 71 with the desireable bolt peep sight retains fully 95% barrel and magazine blue; 98% receiver blue (including 98% of the belly blue). The forearm cap is in 98% condition and the lever exhibits 95% bluing with some speckling present. There are a few scattered very minor disturbances in the blue including a slight stain on the top of the barrel visible only in direct sunlight. The camera could not pick it up. The forearm retains 95% of its finish with some handlng marks present. The buttstock is in about 90% condition mostly due to oil staining around the perimeter of the butt plate. There is about 70% finish remaining on the butt plate with some light rust evident. The bore and mechanics are excellent and this lightly used rifle exhibits only very minor internal blue wear.
A FINE MODEL 71 DELUXE IN EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION.
