The diminutive .410 bore side by side shotgun has a dedicated following and holds a special spot for quail and woodcock hunters across the country. Many double gunners have long loved the fine Italian side by sides made in the old school way of hand fitting utilizing the finest methods and materials. This gun was built in 1982 by a small shop, likely Bertuzzi Armi, known for making some of the finest BEST GUNS IN THE WORLD. Serial number 11, the gun has the Holland style sidelock action identical to the later Bertuzzi guns, action scaled to the tiny .410, 28" chopper lump barrels with raised flat file cut rib, removable striker discs, finely sculpted receiver with full coverage of the finest scroll engraving and cupid like figures on all 3 sides, gorgeous burl Turkish walnut, THE FINEST OF THE FINE! I have never seen such perfect metal-to-metal fit, with invisible seams where the sideplates and trigger plate fits to the receiver. This is as good as it gets! The wood to metal fit is impeccable as well, with a diamond grip shape to the butt stock. There is a judicious use of gold inlay for the serial numbers on the forend iron, barrel flats, water table, and trigger guard tang, with a nice touch of wire inlaid at the breech of the barrels. At 5lbs. 2oz. and balanced 1/8" ahead of the hinge pin, and 14 1/2" LOP to a mid-position single trigger, this gun is a delight in hand. Look closely at the photos and you will see a unique, BEST OF THE BEST quality showpiece for your shooting pleasure.
