Description:
This M97 was made in 1905 according to the on-line chart I used. It has a 30" full choke bbl. ser. no. 321xxx and the numbers match on bbl. and receiver. Bore is bright with no pitting or dents.Metal finish is mostly there but browning in places. Wood is original finish with no cracks or serious dings, chip off buttplate (see photo), small dent in left side of receiver (see photo). I have shot four rounds of trap with this gun so I know it is in working order, but occasionally hammer would fall to half-cock when bolt closed requiring me to thumb cock the hammer to fire, hence the fixer-upper description. This flaw should be corrected by a competant gunsmith before use and price has already been adjusted to compensate. FFL required, Shipping is 20.00.
