Offering up my highly desireable, "3 Digit" Colt .38 Super. Colt Factory letter states shippment to Marshall-Wells Hardware Co. in Duluth Mn. I have had this fine Colt in my collection for a couple of years now and have purchased another. I don't need 2 and can't afford to have 2 so it is an easy decision..
This Super is fitted with the rare and period correct King adjustable sites. Author Doug Sheldon "Colt's .38 Super", states "Colt's created the adjustable version of the Super Match partly to compete with King and other adjustable site manufactures of the time." I attached a photo, page 72, of Doug's book. The photos are of an early .38 Super fitted with exact same, period correct, King adjustable sites.
Finish would rate 95+% with mild high edge wear and minor holster wear. Honest wear not UGLY wear. Comes with 1 correct factory magazine and the frame matches the slide.
This is a very nice looking example of the highly desireable "3 Digit" Colt .38 Super.
PRICE... Difficult to find comps for a "3 digit" so i will start at 10,500 and take the best offer.
