Description:
Browning Midas Grade 12g sn 499xxS6, manufactured in Belgium during 1966. Almost new overall condition, with stiff break open action and barrel release lever to the right.
The engraving is by master engraver Andre Dierckx and signed on both sides. The barrel and receiver metal are in 99%+ condition. The screw slots are sharp and in excellent condition. Trigger gold plating is very good. Excellent bores. "Y shaped" upper tang. Long trigger guard tang, original to the gun. The wood varnish is like new with minimal small impressions. Field style forearm. Dark nicely figured wood grain, excellent checkering. The forearm and stock match well in color. LOP is 14 1/4", with hard Browning buttplate. Standard drop at comb and heel measurements.
26.5" barrels choked Modified and Improved cylinder, and stamped correctly. Hand filed ventilated rib. Gold plated hammer and ejector pins. Polished barrel breech surface and muzzle face. Browning factory box and matching serial number end label in good shape. Browning historical letter from Glen Jensen also included.
