Here is a custom 1909 Argentine Mauser bolt action rifle chambered in the versatile 35 Whelen with a Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10X44 scope in excellent condition. This is a great rifle in a great NA big game chambering. I do not know who the gunsmith was, but the attention to detail and craftsmanship is second to none. I’ve owned this rifle for a few years and it is a bonafide sub MOA shooter with Federal Premium ammunition. I have four boxes of the same lot number for sale to the Buyer. This rifle has a gorgeous piece of wood and the metal finish appears to be matte rust blue. I rate the condition as close to new as I never hunted with her. The 24 inch medium contour barrel has a barrel band sling stud installed. Trigger is a fully adjustable Timney and breaks like glass at around 2 lbs. The stock is professionally glass bedded by the gunsmith and the barreled action fits like a glove. See the picture. LOP is 13.5 inches. It has full wrap around checkering on the forearm and appears to be at least 24 lpi. Just a beautiful stock job finished in a matte lacquer. The steel, one piece floorplate and trigger guard is engraved with scroll work in front of, and behind, a grand bull moose! Just a fine shooting, great looking custom Mauser. Must ship to an FFL.
