Description:
This is a fine Parker GH, serial number 84375, made in 1896, on a number 2 frame with 28 inch replacement fluid steel barrels by Parker. They have been honed and the chambers lengthened to 2 3/4 inches, and are on face. The chokes are IC and M. The barrels are marked with the letters JG inside a small oval, indicating they were made by Jim Geary, Parker's premier barrel maker at the time. The stock has very nice wood with an old repair at the wrist (probably done at the time the barrels were replaced), otherwise the gun is in excellent condition. Visible case colors are mostly worn off and barrel blue is about 80%. Stock dimensions are 14 1/8 LOP, drop at heel 2 3/4, and drop comb 1 11/16. Weight is 7 pounds 8 ounces. A good solid upland gun at a fair price.
