SOLD A fine nitro proof drilling by Fritz Schilling of Frankfurt. Double hammers and top lever release...chambered in 16 gauge by 9.3x72R with 26 inch barrels...peninsular sidelocks with rebounding hammers, double triggers with rifle set trigger & adjustable, safety flip up rear sight, beautiful shiny bores with no corrosion and no dings or dents...4 panel game scene engraved duck and roe deer on the right and rabbit and royal stag on the left...with beautiful scroll engraving on the balance...about 80% coverage on engraving...blued and engraved top lever and blued and engraved trigger guard...case colors still remains on the beautiful engraved back locks and the action...stocks are original in factory finish with no repairs or alterations of any kind...original horn butt plate almost 3/4 of an inch thick with indexed screws...raised matted rib. This drilling locks up as tight as the day it was finished and all mechanics remain in perfect working order. Factory sling swivels and the original factory canvas leg-o-mutton soft case included. Factory original blueing remains at 98% and outside original case colors at about 20%. Inside on the water table remain about 70% case colors. LOP is 14 inches. This fine drilling was brought back from World War 2 by Lt. Colonel Steven Kovacs, a native New Yorker who was with a demolition squad and parachuted in with the 101st Airborne into Holland. I acquired this from the family and this drilling is fresh to the market. USPS priority mail is 40.00...this drilling will be shipped from FFL to FFL or C&R.
