Description:
Starr Percussion Saddle Ring Carbine, .54 caliber, serial number 19,XXX. Falling Breech Block, 21” round bbl, single brass band, brass crescent buttplate & folding V rear sight. Barrel is a smooth brown patina & bore is in very good condition with consistent rifling. Stocks are in good shape with a few marks from use, the forend has a small repaired piece at the receiver. Frame retains flashes of color with a brown patina. Inspector mark on barrel & proof stamps remain highly visible. Overall a fine example of a scarce Civil War Carbine.
