A beautiful US Model 1861 rifle musket, Springfield/Trenton (Bert and Hodge). Contract 58 cal paper cartridge percussion. This firearm was one of only 21,995 produced. It is in extra fine condition for its age and was made in 1863. Cartouches are still visible. Initials are carved in the stock and there is slight pitting in a few minor areas.
