Webley cased Pre RIC #2 cased. Made aprox 1884. .450 cal. 3and3/4 inch barrel.not ramped,made without lanyard ring.One piece checkered grips.It has a dealers name plate on the lid.F.Lassetter& co 421 George st.. SYDNEY.A Retailer marked on the top of the barrel, W.S.Riley 63 Bishops Gate within, London. There is no serial # on the gun (never had one). The gun is pictured on page 151 in the big green Webley solid frame revolver book by Black, Davis, Michaud.Once owned by Joel Black. This piece has a high % of original high polish blue finish in great condition. A very nice bore and cylinder.It locks up very tight in single and double action . Doesn't appear to have been shot much. Comes with the original case and the usual gun case tools , vintage oiler, cleaning rod and turnscrew. This gun was probably sold by W.S. Rileys retail shop? and some where in its life ended up in Australia and sold again by F. Lassetter and Co.SYDNEY .Austrailias largest gun retailer.. There is some small engraving around the edges on the frame. A nice cased Webley with some interesting history. Call anytime with questions, Tom 612 859 5673
