Parker double Trap Guns are special guns in many ways. First and foremost, they were made with special attention to details to shoot well and win tournaments. Gun makers knew quite well that the game of Trap was a social event, with results well publicized and future sales greatly affected by their guns winning major events. The bores were often overbored, chambers cut to perfection, and chokes tuned by the best barrel man in the plant. Trap guns had long barrels, tight chokes, ventilated ribs, beavertail forearms, factory pads, most often single selective triggers, and higher than normal stock dimensions. Trap guns are actually RARE, WITH ONLY 94 KNOWN IN DHE GRADE, ONLY 69 WITH 32" BARRELS. Additionally, there were only 500 total Parker guns made in all gauges and grades with a factory ventilated rib barrel. This gun, sn232754 made in 1930, is one of them, a very special gun indeed. The only option not shown on this gun is the SST, as this is a 2 trigger gun. Once owned by ED MUDERLAK, the renowned Parker collector and author of "PARKER GUNS, "OLD RELIABLE""and shown in his book as a TRAP GUN on pages 80, 128, and 166, the gun retains 70% factory case color, 98% factory blue, and most of what looks like the factory original wood finish. Weighing 8 1/4lbs. and balanced 3/8" ahead of the hinge pin, this gun was made to crush targets, with 32" Titanic Steel barrels, mirror bores, F/F chokes, and stock dimensions of 14 1/2" x 2 x 1 1/2 x neutral cast. Trap configured guns are also awesome waterfowlers and long range upland guns, particularly when blocking fields for pheasants, and pass shooting doves. This is a grand investment gun as it is packed with desirable and rare features, has lots of factory original condition, and it was owned by one of the greats in the Parker world.
