Description:
Four pieces in all: 1) a die-struck, solid-backed wound badge in silver that has a nickel finished safety pin-back and "107" maker's stamp (Carl Wild, Hamburg). The badge is in fine condition but only has traces of the original white metal finish remaining, mainly on the back and on the top portion of the border wreath. 2) a single place safety pin-backed ribbon bar for the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords that has some age staining on the front of the intact ribbon. The gray felt pad sewn onto the back is also complete and the ribbon rates fine-near excellent. 3) a "1./OKTOBER/1938" (Sudetenland occupation) medal missing the ribbon which is in excellent condition save for a few very minor spots of ruddy-brown freckling on the reverse. 4) Mothers' Cross in Gold missing the ribbon and having a slightly bent suspension loop and top arm. The blue and white enamel has some small chips at the tips of the legs and there is some mild verdigris on the reverse.
