Description:
S# 56014, 11.7 X 51R Danish, 35 inch barrel, bright excellent bore. This 1879 built rifle was converted to center fire in 1896 and remains in very good condition with a brown patina on barrel. Action show silvering from faded case colors. The three barrel bands, rear sling loop and forend cap have 95% nickel plating with a nice frosted aged patina. Stock has matching serial number on bottom in front of sling band. Wood also shows crown marking on left side of wrist and forend. Forend shows a four inch crack below ramrod channel and a repaired crack on left side between front and middle bands. Wood shows typical handling marks. Comes with a correct Danish Model 1867 (first pattern) bayonet in a steel and leather scabbard. All in very good condition. Antique
