Description:
S# 28921, 12 GA, 2 5/8 inch chamber, 30 inch barrel, good bore. This 1896 production pump shotgun retains about 40% original blue, fading to a brown patina with bright areas from carry wear. The pistol grip stock shows a small crack on left and right side behind action. A large chip is missing from pistol grip base and some added oil is evident on butt. The 17 groove forearm shows a few mark with 80% original finish. These guns were recalled by Winchester with a standing offer for a free 1897 pump shotgun and are not rated for smokeless shells.
