* * * SOLD ON HOLD PENDING FUNDS / Colt 3rd Model 1851 Martially Marked Navy Revolver, serial # 55793, with mis/matched trigger housing numbered 25286, cal. 36, with a 7 1/2" octagon barrel and a good plus bore. The metal surfaces of revolver are an even brown patina with an ocher patina on the brass grip strap. There's a good amount of the cylinder scene and the serial number is matching the receiver. The barrel legend is complete and legible reading ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CiTY. The one-piece walnut grips need attention the bottom of the grips are cut out for possibly attaching a lanyard ring, there's also pieces missing from the upper portion of the grips where they meet the frame on both sides, grips also show two notches. The trigger frame screws, wedge, wedge screw and the internal parts were replaced with aftermarket parts and these need some adjusting to make the revolver functional. Therefore were selling this as a “Parts Gun No Returns”. Overall this is a scarce martially marked Navy in fair plus to good condition that'll still look good in a collection. Inv.: # 12-124
