Satisfaction is always guaranteed. Description: SALE PENDING Offered is a seldom seen LC Smith 2E Steel barrel 10 gauge. Serial Number is 215327 and the year of production is 1912. The LC Smith book by Houchins states that only 547 grade 2 LC Smiths were made in 10 gauge but this also includes Damascus barrels guns as most were during this time frame. There were very few 2Es made with Crown Steel Barrels. This BIG LC features original 32" Crown Steel barrels choked extra full and extra full with 3 1/2 chambers. The bores are bright and shiny and it has twin ivory beads. The shotgun is tight and mechanically in great shape, ready for the field. There are strong traces of original case color, nice original trigger guard blue and great original barrel blue remaining. The engraving is sharp and the screws are nice. This fine LC has been professionally restocked to LC Smith standards and style. The wood is georgeous, probably 3X fancy with great checkering. In fact this is the highest quality restock we seen on a vintage double. Other features of this rare Smith include a non-selectable Hunter One Trigger and ejectors. All work great. Fantastic modern dimensions. Length of pull is 14 1/4 from mid position Hunter one over a solid red Pachmayr pad. Drop at heel is 2 3/8 and drop at comb is 1 1/2. Wieght is just under 11 pounds.
