Here is an awesome fully restored Stevens 44.This rifle has been fully restored, never fired and is in mint condition.It has been restocked in American walnut that has a AAA grade. The figure in the wood is amazing! The photos don't do it justice. The wrist is checkered in fine line and the fore end is also checkered in a wrap around pattern.Perfectly executed. Falling block lever action with a 28-1/2" full octagon barrel with a mint bore that is chambered in 38-40 WCF.The breech block was replaced with modern heat treated 4140 steel. New, stronger link was also replaced with a new one made of 4140 steel making this particular rifle much more reliable then the original factory pieces.
The rear sight is a buck horn with windage and elevation adjustment. It has a case hardened receiver, and lever which are brightly colored. LOP is 13-1/2" over a crescent case hardened steel butt plate.
The wood to metal fit on the entire rifle is exceptional. The action locks up nice and tight.Blueing on the barrel, hammer and trigger are new and bright with a high gloss finish all in perfect condition. There are NO scratches, dents or handling marks of any kind anywhere.
