Description:
This is an excellent example of an early 1929 Swiss Military Luger made at the factory in BERN. This model has the distinctive, straight grip frame angle with the grip safety and fast taper profile barrel of the Swiss Lugers. It also has the smooth or unknurled toggle knobs. The left side of the frame rail has the small "+/M" indicating inspection and or acceptance by Col. Muhlemann of the Swiss Army. The top of the front toggle has the correct military Swiss cross in a Shield logo with the full serial number stamped on the rear portion of the toggle assembly. These Lugers have a distinctive dark brown, checkered plastic grips. This Luger has a dark, almost flat rust blued finish and it fitted with a correct nickel plated magazine with the dark brown plastic base. The back of the magazine body has the small script "p" proof. This series of Luger is numbered on the left frame.
