#4844 Colt 1860 Army (AKA, “Holster Pistol”), 44caliber, 139XXX (1863), all matching serial numbers including the wedge. Very good bore and action and the bore looks like at least a “7” that should clean even better with a light cleaning. Overall smooth even thin grey-brown exterior with almost no pitting at all and some faint traces of blue at the top of the back-strap. Fine scene which is about 90-95% intact, and fine wood grips with visible cartouches on both sides and showing only minimal wear. Overall, this.A VERY decent and well above average standard issue military Army that obviously has had good care all its long life, but no doubt also saw action in the Civil War.. About VG++ as described and comes with the Colt factory letter which is now about $200 or thereabouts. $2495
