Description:
SOLD
Perazzi DC1 boxlock SxS shotgun.  12 gauge, 26 11/16” solid rib barrels with very unique choke system; the left barrel is traditional with .729 bore and .014” constriction (Light Modified) and the right bore is .729” with a factory “Tula bulb choke” called SKEET.  Look at the muzzle photo and you will notice that the right muzzle end is markedly larger diameter than the left.  About 3” from the muzzle Perazzi expanded the barrel to create the “Tula” choke.  The action is traditional Perazzi with a removable trigger group that looks like it would snap right into a MX-8 or a Comp 1 of the 1970’s era.  This gun was made in August of 1970 and looks just like the Perazzi DC1 that was introduced in the USA in 2012 with a price of over $10,000.  The receiver retains almost of its original case colors but the protective clear coat is about completely worn off.  The barrel blue is lightly scuffed here and there and faded in spots but remember this gun is 45 years old and was hunted with on a regular basis.  The buttstock is nicely figured walnut with a fair amount of dings and dents in the wood…no cracks.  The brass escutcheon has the original owners initials engraved on it “LM”.  The straight grip LOP is 13 7/8” to the checkered butt; 1 3/8” DAC, 2” DAH, with right hand cast of ¼” at heel and 3/8” at the toe.  Because of the fairly high dimensions the LOP feels longer than it measures!  The forearm is a proportionally wide splinter that is in 98% condition.

Mechanically very sound and tight with the top lever still right of center.  There is an assembly ‘scar’ on the right barrel lug that has been polished smooth but it is noticeable when the gun is apart.  In fact the gun is still so tight that it is a little hard to assemble!  Weights 6 lbs. 12 oz.; balances very well between the hands.

It comes in the original box with paperwork, stock tool, and protective sleeves.
