Description:
Used and in original condition. This percussion carbine was patented by Edward Maynard and manufactured by the Massachusetts Arms Company of Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. These rifles were produced in the 1860's. The rifle has a 20" barrel which is mostly round with a octagonal base. Blue finish is roughly 80% complete but worn away on the bottom near the muzzle. Hardwood stock is in excellent condition with a few minor dings and handling marks. Cartouches are clear and legible. Reciever and trigger guard are case hardened. Stamped lettering on reciever is crisp and legible. Rear sight has two folding leafs. Screws are in good condition. Steel butt plate has worn finish.
