Description:
model 1795 Harpers Ferry musket with model 1816 lockplate dated 1818. Has original stock that has a fracture in front of wrist near lock but is still sound. Has 44.5 inch barrel that has a twist to it or else the tang is turned slightly. Due to this or wood shrink, the vent does not center well on pan. Does not show evidence of being converted but some parts have been replaced as they do not show the same age patina. Top hammer jaw and flint screw are replaced as well as frizzen spring. Still a good old mantal hanger at a fraction of the price of other military muskets. No ramrod.
