Description:
Serial #231832, 20 ga., 26 3/4” barrel with very good bores (choked Modified and Full) that have some mild freckling, most noticeably within the right tube. The barrels of this handy little gun have retained 80-85% of their original blue with some pale fading along the sides of the barrels towards the breech, and a mellow plum-brown patina on the balance with specks of darker freckling scattered throughout. The frame has dulled original color case-hardening, mostly on protected areas around the trigger guard and standing breech, and there is a pale mottled patina along the balance of the frame metal. The walnut pistol grip buttstock and forend have numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes with a small sliver of wood missing from the right side of the forend near the tip and further light surface bruises and small blemishes. The stock has a 14 1/8” length of pull to the original hard rubber Ithaca buttplate and drops of 1 1/2” and 2 3/4” respectively. The lock-up is still tight and the lever rests just right of center. This is a nice little Ithaca and rates good plus-very good overall. FFL or C&R
