Description:
Serial #117641, 12 ga. (2 3/4” chambers), 30” barrels with excellent, bright bores (choked Modified and Full). This is a 1903-made gun that has retained 85-90% of the original blue on the undented barrels with some pale silvering at the muzzles and some gray fading at the right breech where a small spot of oxidation was cleaned long ago. The frame retains 80-90% of the original color case-hardening with some scattered mild freckling and pale pewter gray where the colors have worn over the years, and there are traces of the original bright blue remaining on the trigger guard. The walnut pistol grip buttstock and forend have minor handling marks and small surface blemishes scattered about the original oil finish, and some mild flattening of the checkering points. The stock has a 14 1/4” length of pull to the original hard rubber Parker Bros. buttplate and drops of 1 3/4” and 2 3/4” respectively. The lock-up is tight and the lever rests a hair right of center. The gun comes with a well worn, but still serviceable, Red Head Leg-O'-Mutton case that has a detached lid and handle (both are still present however, and the leather body is actually still in rather good shape). This is a handsome VH Grade Parker that used but not abused, and retains quite a lot of the original finish with great mechanics. It is a very nice gun and rates very good plus-fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
