Description:
Custom Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1905 re-barreled to 7X57 (7MM Mauser), signed inside the stock by C.R. Hiatt, dated 9/20/41. Griffin and Howe detachable side mount, bolt mounted peep sight and front ghost ring on a ramp. Peep sight is usable with Leupold 4X scope mounted. Scope also provides adequate clearance for swing safety. Rifle shows an excellent, bright bore, and the metal shows a rich blue finish; the single trigger is checkered. The rifle has a stunning walnut stock with a comfortable pistol grip, ebony forend, and an oil finish. This rifle is very accurate, even with factory ammunition, but I have not been able to give it the attention it deserves, and have gravitated to my other M/S.
