Wood has had the ram rod channel filled in and is very hard to detect. This gun falls in the early trapdoor Custer era with serial number being 22k range. Someone made a very good copy of a Custer era trapdoor carbine. Missing saddle ring. Early style butt. Wood is in VG cond with only a few light mars and dings. Bbl is mostly plum/brown color with good traces of blue. Breech block has turned silver/brown. Sharp markings on the side plate. An interesting gun that someone could have some fun with.
