This is a Colt Officers' Model Target revolver in .38 S&W Special. According to Colt, this revolver was manufactured in 1932, and comes with its original box and test target, both of which are numbered to the gun! The serial number is numbered in the serial number range of the Colt Official Police Model, which is correct according to Sutherland and Wilson. This gun would easily rate at 99%. It features the luxurious Colt bluing of that era. The gun has a 6", tapered barrel and an elevation-style Patridge front sight, which was standard after on this model after 1930. The rear sight, adjustable for windage, is dovetailed into the top strap. All sight screws are in original condition and do not show signs of damage. The back strap is finely checkered along with the lower half of the trigger. The walnut grips have raised checkering with a narrow border around the outside edge of the grip and also contain silver Colt medallions. This gun's original box shows signs of deterioration along the natural edges of the top. The original test target shows 5 shots at 15 yards (see picture) which is numbered to the gun and signed by the shooter. Lastly, it comes with the Colt manual for how to care for this firearm.
