COLT MODEL 1892 NEW ARMY & NEW NAVY .38 LONG COLT D.A. COMMERCIAL ORIGINAL REVOLVER. Circa 1903. Commerical variation of the same type that went down along with the U.S.S. Maine. Original hard rubber checkered grips complete with NO losses or cracks and fit like a glove. 80% original blue on frame with balance at edges. Barrel blue fading to less with original patina replacing that. Screws are very good. Lockup is as well. Bore with crisp rifling and bright with a few shallow pits. Chambers of cylinder excellent. Few pinpricks of salt and peppering on right side of barrel in one 1/2" area. All original factory condition from 1903 with no restoration or refinishing. Excellent crisp barrel address. Same model of Colt Teddy Roosevelt brandished during his famous charge up San Juan Hill during the Span-Am War.
