Description:
S# 1329, 50-70 govt, 22 inch barrel, bright very good bore. This 1873 built Swedish rifle has been converted into a carbine and rechambered to 50-70 govt. Receiver still shows strong traces of case colors. barrel has developed a brown patina. rear sight has the 1874 conversion numbers on side and front sight is a Lyman bead. Stocks and butt plate are numbered to gun and wood is dated 1873. Forend is sound, butt has three cracks in wrist and one small crack behind tang. Cleaning rod is shortened to fit and sling keepers are still mounted. An interesting hunting carbine made from a Swedish military rifle. Antique
