Vintage Jeffrey Rook Rifle in 255 Jeffrey. Date of manufacture uknknown, but presumably very early 1900's. High quality little rifle that would be a good candidate for restoration. 26" round barrel with good shootable bore. Attractive walnut stock would benefit from a refinishing, and from having the checkering retouched. The forend has a sliver missing on the right side. The stock otherwise has lots of dings, scratches and gouges, but is solid. LOP is 14 1/2 over a grooved butt. The buttstock has a blank initial shield. The metal surfaces - externally - have patches of surface rust, and overall have turned to a dark brownish patina. Barrel reads: W. J. JEFFERY & CO./1Z KING STREET, ST JAMES'S, LONDON. Rear sight has one fixed and two folding leaves. Weight is 5 lbs. 3 oz. This would be a very fun rifle to restore properly.
