Description:
Cased pair of single shot percussion pistols signed “D.Egg, London” in a vintage case. The pair are approx 44 cal smooth bore, measuring 8 1/2” overall with 3 1/2” octagon barrels. The barrels are a smooth plum brown patina and each lock is signed D. Egg London. The pistols are the style that this maker was noted for with round guards and rounded butts. Frames are engraved brass. Bores are clean and guns work fine. The hammers and small parts are all correct.. The stocks are excellent with sharp checkering and just normal aging. There is a plaque at each wrist. The original case is lined in purple felt with some slight fading, minor tatters, small losses but at least very good. Set comes with a vintage flask and bullet mold with some tins and projectiles. Nice Mid 19th century set from well known english maker. Can be shipped anywhere in the world.
